Empathy – Understanding Colleagues

What it does:

Provides tools and techniques that can help you to develop the skills required to be sensitive to other people’s needs and feelings, and to better understand a colleague’s perspective.

You will need:

Before completing this Self Study module, you will need to download a copy of the worksheet in the Resources tab. The worksheet can be completed online or printed off and completed by hand. You’ll also need to print off the handout to distribute to your colleagues to complete.

In a nutshell:

Empathy is a quality that demands mastery in a number of different skill sets to enable you to understand other people’s perspectives and the impact that your own behaviour has on your colleagues.

Introducing Emotional Intelligence


Time required:

30 minutes.

What it does:

Great managers and leaders have one thing in common – they are have strong levels of Emotional Intelligence (EQ). This study guide introduces the five core areas and that make up EQ and enables you to benchmark your own personal areas of strength and potential areas for development.

To complete the simple questionnaire/profiling tool in the Resources tab.
